Andrés Cerda
Andrés Cerda Vargas (Mexico City, 1983) has been directing commercials since 2011 for brands like Nestlé, Coca-Cola, Corona, Walmart, Bimbo, Nissan, DAZN, Decathlon, ING, and Mercedes Benz, working in countries such as Spain, Russia, Vietnam, the U.S., and Mexico.
In 2013, he won the Gold Circle Award for Best Young Director at the Círculo Creativo de México festival. His work has also picked up awards at various advertising festivals, including Effie, Cannes, Ojo de Iberoamérica, and Círculo Creativo de México.
Andrés is known for bringing a lot of attention to detail in art direction, creating pieces with a unique and playful human touch. He loves starting projects by carefully designing the characters, which then helps him shape the story and visual style of the film. He’s often called on for comedy projects, kids’ stories, and scripts that blend tabletop elements with the narrative.
He currently has his short film "Estática" on the festival circuit and is working on his first feature film.
