SEAT needed a complete library of videos explaining how their Connect app works: how to pair it with the car, how to control the lights, the climate system and every other feature the car can handle from your phone.
These are the videos a customer watches right after buying the car. Not before. That changes everything: this content doesn’t have to convince anyone, it has to take care of someone who already paid. The brief demanded spot-level quality for a format most brands treat as an afterthought.
The videos required multiple environments: a workshop setting and several exterior locations, including a building exterior and a lookout with open views over the city.
Shooting real exteriors with real cars means location permits, transport logistics, weather risk and light that changes by the hour. Multiply that by the number of videos in the library and the budget stops making sense.
And none of it could look fake. The car is the product. Every reflection on the bodywork, every shadow, every transition between the real vehicle and its environment had to hold up to close inspection.
One studio, every location. We built the entire production inside a single stage over two shooting days, plus one full day of set construction and rigging.
A workshop built piece by piece. For the workshop videos, our art department constructed a premium workshop set with real decoration and props, designed to match the brand’s standards.
AI-generated environments on LED screens. For the exterior videos, we generated ultra-realistic backgrounds in-house with AI and displayed them on large LED screens behind the real cars: a building exterior and a city lookout with open views. The LED light wraps naturally around the vehicle, so reflections and ambient light are real, not composited.
Real cars, real interaction. The vehicles drove in and out of set. Presenters interacted with the actual app on the actual car. What you see working on screen is working.
Post-production with a magnifying glass. Weeks of in-house post: integration refinement, cleanup, retouching and grading, reviewing every frame where the real car meets the generated environment.
A complete how-to video library for the SEAT Connect app, covering setup and every core feature, delivered ready for publication.
Two shooting days. Multiple environments, zero location moves, zero weather risk, full light control.
Part of a combined production with CUPRA that delivered over 40 pieces of content from the same stage and system.
Spot-level finish on functional content. The videos every SEAT driver will actually watch got the same craft as a brand campaign.
Post-purchase content is advertising. A tutorial is the brand speaking to a customer who already trusted it with their money. Cutting corners there costs more than it saves.
LED plus AI beats green screen for cars. Bodywork is a mirror. With generated backgrounds on LED, the environment lights the car for real, and the integration work in post starts from truth instead of from a chroma key.
Hybrid production is a system, not a trick. Real stage, real cars, real art direction, AI environments. Each part does what it does best, and the seams disappear.
