Cookie policy

What cookies are

Cookies are small files that a website saves in your browser to remember information about your visit. Similar technologies, such as your browser’s local storage, work in a similar way and follow the same rules, so we explain them here too.

Some cookies are technical: the website, or a service you ask for, needs them to work, and they do not require your consent. Others, such as analytics cookies, are only used if you accept them.

What this website uses

glassyfilms.com does not load any Google code until you accept statistics in the cookie banner, and it does not use advertising cookies, social media pixels, Google Tag Manager or any other tracking technology. Before you choose, the only cookies that can appear are Vimeo’s technical security cookies, which do not require consent: __cf_bm, when the background videos load from its servers, and, if the Vimeo player opens and Cloudflare runs a check, cf_clearance and __cf_ob.

Google Analytics

Google Analytics is a service of Google Ireland Limited that we use, only with your consent, to count visits and understand which projects and content are most useful. Its cookies are saved under this website’s domain but are managed by Google, so we list them as third-party cookies. We have set it up without Google Signals and without advertising features, and it keeps the data for 14 months. Google LLC may access the data from the United States, under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. You can read how Google uses data from the websites that use its services at policies.google.com.

Vimeo videos

Most videos on this website are delivered from Vimeo’s servers, and the background videos start on their own when a page loads. Vimeo protects its servers with Cloudflare, which stores the __cf_bm cookie for 30 minutes to tell people from bots and, if it needs to run a security check when the Vimeo player opens, cf_clearance and __cf_ob. They are security cookies that Vimeo needs to deliver the videos, so they do not require consent. The Vimeo player loads in “do not track” mode, which tells Vimeo not to track your session or collect statistics. More information in Vimeo’s cookie policy.

Newsletter images

The images on the Newsletter page load from Substack and Amazon Web Services and do not store cookies. If you go to Substack to read or subscribe, Substack applies its own cookie policy.

How to accept, reject or change your choice

Fonts and links

The fonts of this website are served from the website itself, without third-party services such as Google Fonts. The links to our studios, to Substack and to WhatsApp open other websites, which apply their own cookie policies.

Changes to the cookie policy

If we start using other cookies, we will add them to this list and, if they need your consent, we will ask for it again.
